Hollie Morrison - Senior Speech Pathologist
Bachelor of Speech Pathology (honours)
Hollie has experience working with people across the lifespan and has a keen interested in supporting adults to achieve their goals. Hollie is passionate about supporting people from all walks of life to have a functional means to communicate their messages, however that may look. This can include supporting individuals' expressive communication, comprehension of what is being communicated to them, speech intelligibility, interpretation and use of social communication skills, written language, and/or Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems. Hollie is also passionate about ensuring participates are able to enjoy eating and drinking safely. Hollie has worked with adults who present with a variety of conditions to assess swallowing skills and create mealtime management plans.
Hollie enjoys supporting individuals with neurological conditions to become as independent as possible in communication and swallowing. Hollie has completed a variety of PD courses include Sounds-Write, neuro-diverse affirming practice, youth mental health, and social participation after stroke.
In her spare time, Hollie likes to spend time with her dog at the beach or exploring the water ways.
AMY WIllis- Senior Speech Pathologist
Amy is a passionate speech pathologist who brings a wealth of experience having worked in the NDIS space across metropolitan and regional WA (from Albany in the South West to Port Hedland in the Pilbara!). Amy takes a client led and neurodiversity-affirming approach to her practice. She is committed to meeting young people and their families where they are at on their journey, creating a safe and playful environment as a foundation for best supporting them to reach their goals.
Amy’s areas of interest include paediatric mealtime management, social communication, expressive and receptive language, speech intelligibility and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). She has a special interest in working alongside Autistic children and adults, supporting their strengths and unique communication styles in functional ways.
Amongst other professional development and training, Amy has completed the Gina Davies Attention Autism program training, SOS Approach to Feeding, and additional mealtime management training through Next Bite Feeding Therapy. She strongly believes that communication is a human right and that it takes many different forms.
Outside of work, Amy enjoys swimming, singing, and exploring the beautiful Pilbara coastline. She also loves volunteering for Ocean Heroes.
Nicolette Ferrari- speech pathologist
Nikki has been living and working as a speech pathologist in Karratha since 2021.
She had the opportunity to spend some time here as part of her Uni placements and loved exploring the Pilbara and getting to know the community, she loved it so much that she returned as soon as she could.
Niki worked in the NDIS space for the past few years; first as a support worker and then as a speech pathologist.
Her areas of interest includes early language, school-age language and literacy, articulation and pragmatic/social skills.
Nikki enjoys working in the community and with families to increase and explore communication that is meaningful and promotes choice and control, relationship development and community access.
Outside of work she loves being outdoors and exploring, spending most of her evenings at the pool getting involved in water sports.
michelle Vuaillat- speech pathologist
Michelle (Mish) is a passionate speech pathologist and recent Curtin University graduate with a love for language, culture, and connection. Born and raised in Western Australia with a culturally diverse background, Mish thrives on exploring new places and learning about different ways of life. A pivotal work placement in Cambodia deepened her understanding of the link between speech pathology, communication and culture, shaping her commitment to helping children and adults navigate their communication journeys—especially those from diverse backgrounds. When she’s not working, you’ll find Mish at a local river or beach, getting lost in a good book, or exploring the stunning landscapes of the Pilbara.
Tess Beattie- speech pathologist
After graduating from Curtin University, Tess has worked in the paediatric space, in both the private and public sectors. Tess is passionate about family-centred practice and working together with families to create meaningful change.
Tess enjoys working with clients and families to support communication, connection and participation in the community.
She enjoys early intervention, as well as supporting clients with speech sound / motor speech disorders, language difficulties, interaction / social communication and stuttering. Tess understands that communication needs are forever changing and enjoys the journey working with families as their goals are reached and evolve over time.
Tess relocated to Karratha with her young family and is enjoying exploring the Pilbara with them.
amelia white- speech pathologist
Amelia is a new speech pathologist at PTS. She has particular interest in school age language, articulation and phonology. As well as dysphagia and language in the adult population. She is committed to providing holistic, client centred care that implements functional activities to empower individuals to achieve their goals.
With experience working across disability, paediatric, adolescent and adult populations, Amelia focuses of tailoring therapy to meet the individual’s needs and goals through collaborative and evidence-based approaches. Amelia is passionate about ensuring individuals have the means they require to communicate, emphasising meaningful and functional outcomes.
Amelia loves camping, exercising, playing netball, and reading books on her kindle. When she is not working, Amelia can be found going to the gym, exploring the coastline on the boat, or catching up with friends!
Student Speech Pathologist
4th-year physiotherapy student
We believe strongly in building up the rural health workforce. In line with this goal, we facilitate an ongoing rotation of students from Notre Dame and Curtin University. These students are nearly ready to be employed and are in their final year of University. Our students have been given training in the most recent evidence-based practice and will check in with their supervisor to ensure their implementation is up to standard.
