Alix Wilyman - Senior Occupational Therapist

Full Time at Karratha, Wickham & Roebourne

Alix graduated from Curtin University in 2014 and has worked in various settings as an occupational therapist including hospital, aged care and in the community. She relocated from Alice Springs in 2022 where she was working in remote communities across Central Australia for 2 years. Alix is passionate to support people to remain living in their own homes and empowering people to advocate for their own wants and needs . Alix enjoys equipment prescription, home modifications, mental health and outreach programs.  Alix has done various professional developments and is passiontate to continue to learn. Alix enjoys getting to know people and their families and assisting people to achieve their goals.

Sarah McQueen - Senior Occupational Therapist

Full-time in Karratha, Wickham & Roebourne

Sarah grew up in a farming town in South Africa and relocated in her adult years to Australia to study Occupational Therapy. Sarah relocated to sunny Karratha in January 2021 to join the Pilbara Occupational Therapy family. Sarah strongly believes in functional therapy and working with clients to reach their goals. Sarah’s strengths are developing quality relationships with her clients to get the best results possible. Sarah brings passion, enthusiasm and a wealth of knowledge to the Pilbara. We feel lucky to have her as part of our team.

Lara Zimmerman - Occupational Therapist

Full Time at Karratha, Wickham & Roebourne

Lara is a recent graduate from Curtin University mid 2023. She completed her final university placement in the Pilbara and was compelled to return to the region. Lara's occupational therapy journey so far has primarily been in mental health, a field she has grown to love. However, she is enthusiastic about exploring other areas of OT while working in the Pilbara.

When she is not working, Lara spends her free time at the beach, camping, and exploring all the amazing places that the Pilbara has to offer. She is excited to be a part of the PTS team and to grow personally and professionally with the team.

ashton bradley - Occupational Therapist

Full time- Karratha, Wickham & Roebourne

After completing her studies in at the end of 2021 in New Zealand, Ashton has been working in Brisbane to help make an impact within the community by building meaningful relationships with clients and supporting them on their unique journeys. Ashton is passionate about health, wellness, and nature, and strongly believes in a holistic approach to therapy, ensuring that every client receives personalised care that promotes their overall well-being and independence. Ashton has recently celebrated her marriage and is looking forward to her Pilbara adventures.

madi broadhurst - Occupational Therapist

Madi has recently moved up to Karratha from her hometown, Geraldton. She is an Occupational Therapist and have been working in paediatrics for 3 years now. Her passion areas include play, social skill development, regulation, and supporting children to better understand and advocate for themselves. Madi’s favorite part about being an OT is working with children and families and watching their confidence in one another and themselves grow.

 Outside of work, she rarely sits still! You will find her playing sports, camping, cooking, and exploring the coast of WA!

amy barrett-lennard - Occupational Therapist

Part Time at Karratha

Amy graduated with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from Curtin University in 2008 and began her career working at VisAbility. Although based in Perth, Amy embraced every opportunity to travel and work in regional and remote communities. On one such trip to the Pilbara in 2009, she worked closely alongside her colleague, an Orientation & Mobility Specialist. This sparked Amy's passion for this unique specialty, and in 2010 she completed her Master of Human Services (majoring in Orientation & Mobility) at Griffith University in Brisbane in conjunction with Guide Dogs Queensland.

For the next decade Amy continued to develop her clinical skills by providing a combination of OT and O&M services to people of all ages living with blindness and low vision throughout WA. She maintains an active role as a volunteer with the O&M Association of Australasia. When working with clients and their families, Amy brings authenticity, respect and compassion. She prides herself on a client-centred, strengths-based approach that recognises the unique collage of a person's background, values and experiences. Amy is dedicated to promoting self-determination, as well as advocating for accessible environments, inclusive communities, and participation in all aspects of life.

In 2024 Amy relocated to Karratha with her husband and three young children and has enjoyed building connections within the Pilbara community and exploring its surrounds. She is excited to have recently joined Pilbara Therapy Services and relishes the opportunity to collaborate with her new team and expand her scope of practice.

HAyley rigby - managing director

Hayley Rigby is a dedicated Senior Occupational Therapist with over a decade of experience in the field, having graduated with a Bachelor in Occupational Therapy in 2013. Since moving to the Pilbara in 2014, Hayley has built a strong connection with the local community and has developed a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals in regional and remote areas.

With a passion for client-centered care, Hayley believes in the power of listening to the community and providing personalized support that fosters sustainable inclusion and engagement. She works tirelessly to advocate for individuals, helping them to thrive and participate fully in all aspects of life. Her approach is rooted in collaboration, ensuring every client receives the respect and care they deserve.

Outside of her professional life, Hayley is a proud mother of two and an avid adventurer. She enjoys boating, island camping, and traveling, always striving to give her children an adventurous and fulfilling life. Whether at work or at home, Hayley’s passion for creating meaningful experiences is reflected in everything she does.
